Customer Reviews
Best sardines I’ve ever had – smoked, light salt, EVOO – delicious! Found these at Costco and have been eating them ever since. Costco also had a boneless/skinless variety in just ‘olive oil’ (not EVOO so adulterated) and the flavor was awful – just bland. Well, Costco is no longer carrying these and I have no idea why. Wild Planet Will Sardines in EVOO are healthier, more flavorful and less processed. Just love them. SO happy I found these here albeit at a slightly higher price. Never change these Wild Planet…these are the best around!
I like these Wild Planet Wild SardinesIn Extra Virgin Olive Oil and in water/no salt added, these sardines are a delicious choice. Their consistency is good, and they’re always available. I recommend opening the can the day before and placing them in glass to chill them in the fridge, making them firm and easy to slice open.To enjoy them, I like to stand the individual sardine on its back and slice it open into a butterfly cut. Then, I trim off the stomach lining and lift out the back bone. After that, I spread some Hummus onto Wheat crackers and place one sardine fillet on each cracker.Breakfast with SardinesFor breakfast, I have some mashed yams with butter, a sliced grapefruit, and a carrot with Ranch dressing to dip. And finally, I add my favorite hot sauce on top of the sardines, making it the perfect morning meal.Sardines are not only tasty but also a nutritional powerhouse. They’re high in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and other essential nutrients.
