Mixing Muscle Milk with Coffee for a Better FlavorFor years, I’ve been using Muscle Milk protein supplements in various flavors. Although I can’t vouch for its nutritional value, it is a well-known brand that I have tried and enjoyed. Recently, I read that the company had changed the formula, and many users find it harder to mix the new formula. However, I have found a better way to mix it.The next time you’re at Whole Foods, you might consider trying their blender bottle. It’s a plastic jug with a whisk ball inside that makes mixing the protein powder with skim milk easier. I chose a 30 oz (780 mL) size, which is cheaper than high-protein snacks. Initially, I thought that diluting the mixture to that volume and using the blender bottle would work perfectly. However, I prefer to use whole milk for a better taste and extra nutrition. To make my morning routine easier, I fill the blender bottle halfway with coffee, add one scoop of Muscle Milk, and shake it. Then, I add another scoop and shake again. This mixes quite well because I treat it like water rather than milk. Next, I pour in the remaining half cup of skim milk, making it easier to mix. This method allows me to start my day before exercising in the morning, and the cold drink in the morning is delicious. After making it this way, the product tastes great and is easy to mix. I use more than 60 grams of protein combined with this preparation method, along with many vitamins and other nutrients. This is an effective morning boost for weightlifting for me and keeps me full until lunch.About six months later, I want to add a few more points about my review. I still use this product, but I switch flavors every month, usually chocolate or vanilla. The difference is, I rarely consume them as standalone beverages now. Instead, I incorporate them into other foods more often. For example, most mornings, I eat half a cup of oatmeal (mixed with 2/3 cup of skim milk and microwaved for 3 minutes). Alternatively, I mix it into regular Greek yogurt and sprinkle oats and fresh fruit on top. You can incorporate it into many things, and imagination is the limit. It’s a great sweetener with vanilla or chocolate flavor because it contains stevia and also provides the benefit of protein. I’ve seen some recipes where it’s even used in healthier cookie treats. If you have any ideas, please leave a comment, and I’m interested to hear them. One more thing to clarify is that when I mix it with coffee, I use already cooled coffee. If you put hot coffee in, it will curdle. In summary, by adding coffee and milk, I found a better way to mix Muscle Milk. Whether you want to increase your protein intake or just make breakfast more interesting, this method is worth a try.If you find this helpful, please click the ‘Helpful’ button.
My First Experience with Protein PowderI have been working out heavily and noticed that I was always sore after a long day at work and in the morning. I decided to try protein powder to see if it could help alleviate my muscle soreness.Within two weeks, I noticed that my muscles were firmer and the pain had largely disappeared. I chose this product because it was one of the cheapest options available in terms of grams of protein per cost. What I also appreciate about this product is its casein protein base, which is slowly digesting and provides my muscles with protein throughout the night to aid in growth and repair. Additionally, it is enriched with vitamins and minerals, which is a bonus for me.I typically mix it with a spoon in a glass with milk. While it remains a bit chunky, I enjoy the slightly crunchy texture that I get from mixing it with a spoon. Adding more milk helps dissolve the powder, but I find that adding too much milk makes the mixture feel thick. Blending or using a bottle might make the powder dissolve more easily, but it would sacrifice some of the rich flavor.Since I dislike milk plain, this product was perfect for giving some flavor to my milk while providing the necessary protein. While it contains a small amount of artificial sweetener, it is barely noticeable when mixed with milk. The aftertaste is also minimal, especially when mixed with milk.Overall, I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to add protein to their diet. The flavor is great, and it provides your body with what it needs.Read less
